How to duplicate Objects and take over animations and touch sensors?

Hi there,

how can I duplicate an object (in my case a driver seat) and take over all the animations (curves, clip maker, variant sets, touch sensor) ?

I won't like to make the animation again for the second driver seat.

Hi, curves are node based so when you copy or clone a node, them follow. So on the new node you will find the same (copied or cloned) curve.

For other stuff like Clips and VariantSets, it is not possible. They are scene based, so they are not related to a specific node or node tree.

You can duplicate VarianSets and duplicate Clips, but you have to do it manually (or via python...).

Touchsensors are duplicated with the nodes, but at first time in the panel you'll see "only one" touchsensor... you have to close and reopen the panel to see the new one (with the same name of the original)

Would be awesome if there comes a function in VRED to easily copy an apply animations from one node to another.

Hi Matthias, right click on a node, Edit, Animation, Copy Animations.... and paste on another node.

Or copy an animation node or block from the Curve editor and paste it on another node.

Simple copy or clone animations.
