Cluster issue

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to setup and test a little cluster. A workstation (a HP Z6) and a laptop (a HP Zbook Studio X360).

Once setup the cluster, and started, the Autodesk logo appear.

I know that it appear if a node doesn't have a valid license, but i have installed and licensed Vred Pro on the two nodes (licenses assigned to 2 different accounts). I can run Vred on the two pc without any problem.

I suppose the problem is the Zbook, because if i leave only the localhost node in the Z6 (just to test), the Autodesk logo does not appear. And if i start the cluster on the laptop with only itself, the logo shows up.

Any idea on what i could check?

Firewall, network settings...

Best

Chris

Hi Chris,

could you check if you maybe set the preference to check out the licenses on the master? You can find it in the preferences under "Cluster".

Cheers,

Marcus

One more thing. For Raytracing clustering you need a network license.

ok, that's all...

NLM license. I don't have it...

But maybe it worked in older versions also with single user licenses?

I remember to have done a test on a little Vred Pro cluster...

And another small question... Is there on the web, somewhere, some documentation about license requisites and possibilities?

Anyway,

thank you Marcus.

Best

Chris

I am also starting with a small cluster, and I am having some troubles to make it work, is there somewhere a video that goes through the whole process of setting up a cluster and the options for a cluster manager?
