Chroma keying

Using the movie example I manage to insert a video flawlessly but I have trouble with the transparency part.

a) Does VRED PRO supports any format with transparency?

b) I know VRED supports mp4 which doesn't have transparency, so I'm trying to insert a video with a chroma background. Looking around the documentation, inside vrMoviePlayer2, I've found enableChromaKeying which I think it should help me but I haven't been able to make it work.

Any help would be appreciated.

HI,

Have you tried to use an image sequence instead of a video?

So every image ca be a .png with transparencies.

Select the first image as a diffuse texture of a material, and apply the material to your object.

Obviously... if you can have the image sequence.....

Bye

Chris

I've tried using an image sequence and it works but the performance is not that great, whenever I put my VR glasses on the framerate drops, whereas if I use video the frame rate is great, that's why I was trying to use the chroma keying instead of the image sequence.

Thanks for the suggestion though!
