4 GB file size issue for VRED Go

Hello,

is it possible that a VredGo file larger than 4 GB can't be open with a Win 10 - 64 bit machine, due to the limitation imposed by 32 bit packer (I suppose) used for packing the file?

Even if the executable code is some hundred of MBytes, the VRED project is packed inside the file and this can't be unpacked if it overcome the 4 GB.

If it's true, this is a limitation that must be taken into account when such a file is generated.

There's some workaround or fix?

Thank you for your attention.

Bye

An executable in windows is not allowed to be larger than 4 GBytes. We are working on a solution that splits the file into a smaller executable and a data file in such a scenario.

Kind regards

Michael

Thank you for the reply!

The file was too large due to a lot of garbage that i didn't delete.

So, it's very hard to compile a file bigger of 4 GB, doing a clean job.

The limit must be known, but it's very hard to reach it!

Thank you again.
