When I erase or rotate or mirror etc. the original geometry stays till I move the screen .

The line type changes to dash but it doesn't go away. This just started happening.

Thank you

Your video card driver is not refreshing fast enough: what changed in your OS?
What is your AutoCAD version? What is your OS and it's version?
What is your video card?

I am running two monitors one is new and huge. I got a second video card to run the smaller monitor. That fixed it. Thank you.

I am sorry.  I read your topic differently, as in why [should I] erase leaves behind a ghost image?  And I thought that maybe the leaves were hiding something else, or maybe that if you erased the leaves the ghost might disappear.  A sick mind sometimes sees things differently.
