The attached lisp is what i am using at the moment it draws a line (representing a pipe) and then generates a text with the pipe length and the pipe diameter on the drawing. ( the PIPELINE command)
i have to input the pipe diameter (can only be a number) before drawing the line (pipe).
i would like to be able to add more information with the pipe size ( pipe name and pipe fitting)
and i would like to take all the info generated for each pipe and write them onto a table/spreadsheet.
IS this possible ?
Yes, it is possible. But if you are drawing pipe lines, how does a fitting work in? It's not just two parallel lines, right?
Isn't there commercial software that does this?
John F. Uhden
Hi John
the commercial software out there provides a service way over what i'm needing.
the lisp i have at the moment lets me provide a pipe size e.g. "40" - i would like to be able to insert e.g. "AB 25 25x15E". this would tell the listing clark the pipe name, pipe size and pipe fitting (in this case a 25mmX15mm elbow).
note we use basic 2D drawings only with a line representing a pipe and the actual fitting is not shown.
in the attached file "example" the "40" is what i've input.
