Unable to load commands based in DLL

Hi,

I am facing issue with AutoCAD customization. I was using older version of AutoCAD along with user based customization (Some dll files), & now have migrated to newer version AutoCAD 2022.

While all the customization has been migrated and works well I came across an issue today wherein few commands are not seen in newer version. This command were running well in older version.

I found out that this specific commands are user defined commands which is included in some DLL file by earlier users/admins. Upon investigation I saw in my PC's Appdata folder (Roaming), the dll files were present in support folder of older version of AutoCAD but not present in support folder of newer version. I added these dll files manually in support folder of newer version but still was unable to solve.

Do I need to look somewhere else as well? (Beyond C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2022\R24.1\enu\support).

I will appreciate if someone can enlighten me.

It's possible that the dll files worked with the older AutoCAD versions but not with the newer 2022 version.

To test with AutoCAD 2022 open type the NETLOAD command and see if you can select one of the DLL files to load.

If it doesn't load, then you'll need to contact the original author to see if they have a later version that's compatible with AutoCAD 2022.

I have operated the command NETLOAD, after selecting the DLL files there's nothing displayed in the command line.

Command line shows "Command: NETLOAD".

Neither I can find those commands.

That could be anything then, too bad the dll program file did  not include an option to show a message when certain conditions are not met.

To my experience with .NET so far, i only encountered "version dependent" programs wheb dealing with sheet set functions.

OR

You can check if the file it is blocked, this usuall happens when a file is downloaded or/and copied from another location:

Right click on the dll file, and click unblock.

And if its not that, give us a decription on how the program works, maybe one of the members here can write one for you.

Pbe You will definately get messages if the dll is not loading properly I have had it happen and had to go searching for a newer dll.
