Right click 'enter' not selecting command prompts first time

So, I have right click as Enter set up on my mouse.

I tried tweaking my CAD about 2 days ago, as I had the "incredible shrinking command line" on my version of CAD and when I pressed the back arrow to undo what I just tried to apply, it threw all my command ribbons (which are usually around the outside) into the middle of the page, and messed up my right click settings, which is now becoming annoying to use.

I did originally have it set up so that:

-right click was enter

-right click is 'repeat last command'

-right click is 'complete whatever is in the command line' when prompted. Ie: when drawing a polyline: C (on keyboard) then right click on the mouse - would close the polyline.

Now when doing the last thing above, it wants me to right click again (Ie: twice to complete commands)

Note that I have the following already set up + I have been on all the threads to sort out the right click issue and its still not solved:

-On OPTIONS, USER PREFERENCES, RIGHT CLICK CUSTOMIZATION.... Repeat last command, Repeat last command and Enter (if a command is in progress (even though it takes 2 or 3 clicks to confirm the command at the moment)).

-Still in OPTIONS, SELECTION.... Noun/Verb selection, Object Grouping, Implied Windowing

-PICKFIRST = 1

-PICKADD = 1

-RIBBONSELECTMODE = 1

-QAFLAGS = 0

-In the command line settings, I turned off AutoComplete and AutoCorrect, which seemed to work for a bit, but its still happening.

+ I have tried applying these, saving my work while only having 1 tab open, closing down the program and rebooting so that these are applied and I'm still having the same problem.

In short.... (1) P then L then right click - PL is coming up in the command line, but not starting the Polyline first time right clicking. (2) when drawing a Polyline... C then right click - C is coming up in the command line, but isn't Closing a Polyline first time right clicking. (3) M then I then right click - MI is coming up in the command line, but not Mirroring first time right clicking. (4) M then right click - M is coming up in the command line, but not Moving first time right clicking. (5) P the E then right click - PE is coming up in the command line, but not starting the Polyline Edit command first time right clicking.... (6) then pressing M then right click - M is coming up in the command line, but not selecting the Multiple lines within the Polyline Edit command. (7) also the same with J then right click - J is coming up in the command line, but not Joining first time right clicking. (8) same thing with COpy

Also it never mattered whether I selected objects before after entering a command and now it seems like they should all be selected before. But that's a different problem I can live with.

Brief:- Right click was confirming everything with 1 click - now its taking 2 or 3 clicks. Someone please help!!!!

Hello @Anonymous,

It seems over all the mouse customization's are not being applied for some reason, is that correct?

Autodesk can not provide hardware support for your mouse, but we can provide the information for your mouse customization & common fixes for mouse related issues.

Hi @natasha.l,

That isn't correct. As explained, this is something that is completely within the AutoCAD Right Click Shortcuts and has nothing to do with the mouse itself. It is something that I used to have set up that would be a great time saver.

I have now mostly got the settings back to how I liked them, about 98% but its still not completely solved!

Regards,

Mark
