Residual search path - How do I remove it?

This one has me scratching my head...

I have two different profiles that use two different main menus.

One profile uses C3D.cuix as it's main menu. To that profile I have added a partial menu which uses custom commands located in a network folder. That network folder is in the Search Path and is a Trusted Location for that profile.

My second Profile uses acad.cuix as the main menu. It does NOT have the partial menu attached and does NOT have the network folder in the Search Path or as a Trusted folder.

Every time that I start the program with the start Icon for my second profile, I get a Trusted Path warning for a .dll file that resides in the network folder which is part of the OTHER profile's configuration. Why does the second profile scan that folder at startup? How do I stop it (without impacting the first profile)?

Can anyone point me in the right direction? TIA

Regards,

Michael Partenheimer

Thanks for the suggestion. I thought about that.

Turning off security will prevent the warning. But that's only eliminates a symptom without curing the disease.

I'm struggling with performance issues and think this may be an indicator of a performance bleed.

I don't want the program to needlessly search any folder(s).

If it searches this network folder at startup, where else is it searching and why?

Okay...

I opened the Registry and ran a search for the network folder name.

I found that the dll file, when executed, added a Registry key branch and a LOADER key to my configuration.

As soon as I deleted the key, my startup no longer searched that network folder.

...makes me wonder what else I've screwed up with my customization.
