Publish options

Greetings!

I'd like to be able to alter the what the default Page Setup is in the Publish dialog box. (ACAD1.jpeg attachment)

When I right click the sheet tab -> page setup manager -> modify, I am unable to change the Page Setup Name. (ACAD2.jpeg attachment)

I want the default Page Setup (in the Publish dialog box) to be "default: PDF" and nothing else.

I also would like the model space tab excluded from the Publish sheet name list as I always remove it....be convenient if it just didn't show up.

Thanks!

Before you click the Modify button, select the page setup, right-click, and choose Rename.

I have Layout 3 active and followed your instructions.

All three right click options are greyed out.

Hello zph

You forot you can't rename LAYOUTS here! : ))

From Help:

"The list includes the named page setups and layouts that are available in the drawing.

Layouts that have a named page setup applied to them are enclosed in asterisks, ..."

Then, I suppose I am looking for a way to redefine the page setups for all the sheets in the drawing (hopefully not one by one).

I found the way to exclude the model space sheet from the Publish dialog box, but I had to successfully Publish (even if just a test document) in order for AutoCAD to save the setting for the next Publish job.  If I cancel the publish after changing the setting, the setting isn't saved.

The default page setup setup that shows on the publish dialog box if the default page setup on the added dwg file. So in able to make 11X17 as the default, you must make is the default for the drawing file itself. You can change the default page setup all at once by selecting everything and modify page setup... see screencast. You can only add the 11X17 page setup if it is already in the addded drawing or else it will not show up.

I'm not sure if you can change the default page setup on a document level without opening the file. I want to try it but I just don't have much time today.

How do I change the default page setup within a drawing?

Needing to open each individual file isn't a problem; doing so will be a part of the process.

Click the application window->Print->Page Setup
then click the the 11X17 and click "Set Current".

You can also set this to your template so it is set by default each time you create a new drawing.

Is there a way to do this across multiple sheets at once (as opposed to going through each page setup and "set current" each one individually?

...command...LISP?

As I stated on post #6, I'm not sure because I didn't try it yet. Here is a good starting point using lee's ODBX wrapper.
