Publish file format question (reposted/rephrased from Autocad forum.)

First off the original thread can be found here and I apologize for the repost. I was hoping for a more programmatic answer than I got over there. A lisp or sysvar for the results I want. Even a pointer on how to think about an approach will work.

When you publish a dwf the format is "filename-view". My question is where does the - come from and can you change it? My specific need is to add spaces before and after. I would like to do this as the file is made as there are many complications to doing it after with a renamer in bulk afterwards.

I understand this may be what I call a gravity problem (Take a rock over the foot drop it then keep repeating. As you drop the rock complain to me about the results. My answer is move rock, move foot or don't drop rock. You tell me but I need to do all that I just want it not to hurt the foot.) and I have to change my thinking but Autodesk must get the separator from somewhere and you all are great at weeding that somewhere out.

I have a bunch of files to do. Well over 40k when I am done. Having AutoCAD create the file right will save hours of work.

Thanks in Advance (And during and for just looking.)

Add an example of your file.
And write as you need a name when saving.

Here are two examples.

The first example is the average folder. The dwg name does not change only the paper space name changes and that's per folder. If I can just do this I will be a happy camper. If example 2 can be done that's just cream.

To make life easier each dwg set is in it's own folder (3 deep no rhyme or reason to the naming but still on it's own.) and all but one of the dwg's in the folder are the used as sheets.  Once it's gone through qc we will have to do the same thing for single sheet pdfs.

Example 1:

3600 - C1 COVER SHEET.dwg
3610 - HR1 REFRIGERATION PLANS AND DETAILS.dwg
3620 - HR2 MECHANICAL PLAN AND DETAILS.dwg
3630 - HR3 MECHANICAL SCHEDULES.dwg
3640 - HR4 EQUIPMENT SUBMITTALS.dwg

The dwf's pdf's need to look like in a subfolder called qc sets.

3600 - C1 COVER SHEET - 3223.dwf
3610 - HR1 REFRIGERATION PLANS AND DETAILS - 3223.dwf
3620 - HR2 MECHANICAL PLAN AND DETAILS - 3223.dwf
3630 - HR3 MECHANICAL SCHEDULES - 3223.dwf
3640 - HR4 EQUIPMENT SUBMITTALS - 3223.dwf

There are 367 sets of these left and I expect more to come.

Example 2:

Here is one of the larger folders it has a set of  140 dwf's and has xrefs to complicate the folder structure.

Do you use Publish or Export?
Is your title block in the model?
With external links it is more difficult.
Can you attach an example dwg file?

publish
tb is xrefed in the cad folder (and has an attached stamp in another folder on another unc)
I can redact a sheet but they are pretty simple.

Here is a dir /b of the cad folder.
Most are not that clean as they have all the AutoCAD flotsam in them.
The png's go into the cover sheet the tb goes on every sheet.

Folder structure is consistent.
We use UNC's so

\\gyts\projects\year\client\state\project description\CAD

from year to description the information will change.
Once in the description folder the structure will then be consistent.

To publish only the title block without unnecessary debris, you need to study the possibility of obtaining information from the file.
Attach your dwg title block.
Maybe It turns out, but you need to study the title block.

The TB is the only dwg in the folder that does not get published.

The Sheet set is made up of the following.

3600 - C1 COVER SHEET.dwg
3610 - HR1 REFRIGERATION PLANS AND DETAILS.dwg
3620 - HR2 MECHANICAL PLAN AND DETAILS.dwg
3630 - HR3 MECHANICAL SCHEDULES.dwg

The program can find the title block inside the file and print it with any name.
To find the title block you need a file dwg
Without a dwg file, there is no solution.
