I have a polyline that represents a conduct, and in that conduct I have equipment that I need to represent in the profile. There won't be a lisp that lets me know the distances and create a table with them. my work will be easier, otherwise I will have to measure one by one

i only have autocad....

What is the equipment?  Blocks, I assume?  What would be your anticipated process?  Select the Blocks and  the Polyline?  Select the Polyline and have it find  the Blocks?  Do the Blocks all touch  the Polyline so that using it as a Fence in selection will find all of them?  Does the Polyline contain any arc  segments, which can throw off the result of using its vertices as Fence points?  Etc., etc. -- the more detail you can provide, the better.  A sample drawing would tell a lot.

I am pretty sure  if you have CIV3d it will plot the alignment details on the long section. Not something in my past that we did.
