@Anonymous  hi,

AutoCAD releases 2010 up to 2012 shares the same 2010 database format.

AutoCAD releases 2013 up to 2017 shares the same 2013 database format.

AutoCAD releases 2018 up to 2020 shares the same 2018 database format.

@Anonymous - please define "migrate"?  Open vanilla DWG files?  Vertical product DWG files?  This is the customization section... do you mean CUIx files?  LISP?  Something else?

The only problem I have experienced is with the CUIX.
If there is a newer enterprise or main menu as the source
and wish to use in the older version destination, one can
try transferring thru the CUI --> Transfer tab while in the
older version. It may be stubborn, but it just *might* load.
This would have been my next step to try, but gave up
(R2016 to R2014).

As dgorsman stated - what is being migrated?

For DWG - use TrueView if you do not have the newer anymore.
