Manually Entering Point Layer, Style, and Label Style When Importing Points From File

I would like to have the option of selecting which layer, point style, and point label style when importing points from file rather than the points being set to the default settings when imported and then selecting the various points and having to change their layer, point style, and point label style.

I am basically looking for an override to be prompted for these inputs during the importing process.

Consider creating the various Point Styles and updating their styles within All Points (Prospector Tab).

If the points to import are cogo points, you can do this from C3D, configuring a new point and label style. If so, your query should be made in the forum, https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/civil-3d-forum/bd-p/66

Sorry, I have now posted this to the C3D board.

I have created various point and label styles and I know that I can change what the default layer, point and label styles are but when I 'm importing a csv of field collected points I was just hoping for an override, where I would be prompted to specify what layer, point style, and label style I wished to use for the particular points that I am importing.

Why would you need any more than 2-3 max for importing points. Even with multiple clients can not see very many styles required, just make sure you save the style in your CIV3D template.
