Deal All,

Greetings of the Day,

As tilted, I need to calculate area in a sequence by the lisp as user selection, is,

in the the process, first column should titled with the station, 2nd fill area and 3rd cut area, lisp should prompt first to select station the fill and then cut

area, in some case in the same section there are more than one cut area, so when user input c for cut area and select 2 area in the same section it should be addition for 2 cut areas, in the same cell for the same section,

It would be highly appreciated if somebody  will do this for me,

Thanks  & Regards,

Might you consider using Civil 3D?  It will create and draw the cross sections for you, tabulate the cuts and fills, and provide you total volumes including provision for shrinkage.  I doubt that any of us civils feels like reinventing the wheel.

Thanks Dear John,

For Quick Reply,

Had this come up earlier this year, I probably would have had the time to help you, but, amazingly, I have actually found some real work to do that even pays!

BTW, I didn't see where you had attached an image.

That looks like it's too easy.  Are those closed polylines you are selecting?  Do you identify whether each is cut or fill?  I was thinking of a situation where the finished grade surface is one polyline on a finished grade layer and one other polyline for existing grade on its layer.  And the program would work from left to right finding the areas of cut and fill, labeling each, and providing a summary.  Actually, the program should process all the sections in the drawing, or by selection, and produce the earthwork calculations.  One thing it could not do, which Civil 3D can, is to adjust volumes for the inside and outside of a curved alignment.

Thanks John for suggestion,

But you remember,I told that my company is not using Civil3D, You experience the Lee-Mac's AtreaLableV-1-9 that I want some modification in that, as I mentioned  in the Screen Shot attached to my messege.

Sorry, I was just prodding you a little more that perhaps management should get C3D.  I haven't seen Lee Mac's work; nor do I care to, especially if it's not working well enough anyway.  Perhaps you should contact Lee Mac about making your desired revisions.

Thank you very much.  I even bought steak for dinner, and we just might have shrimp tomorrow night.

It leaves me thinking though that this forum is not equitable.  We spend a lot of our time here giving out free words of wisdom.  JustAsk,com charges for the responses.  And they're not even all that good, as in "You should have a qualified local repair person inspect your faulty fluxenstator."

For me personally the choice is between

getting up, make coffee, stare out of the window, do dishes

OR

getting up , make coffee, stare out of the window and fool around in my collection of LSP files. And then sometimes do dishes...

I just remember your contributions to this forums from so long time ago, and I learned quit a lot from them. I was sorry to note, that you were looking for work
