Line Type? Resolution, Template? Work Space? Tool Palette? Layer states

Hi Forum members,

I decided to be innovative and start creating a Mechanical Work space that would make it easier for engineers to use AutoCAD. Most the customisation is been one tool palette that consist of 4 primary functions vie customised and created.

Dynamic Blocks - Work fine

Flexible ducts basically a bunch of Shapes converted into line types at 128 resolution and given there own layer, then used the spline command on tool bar, renamed it 150 flex, and in its properties i assigned the line type, layer, etc (sizes vary 50mm from 150mm to 400mm) I have 6 of these tools see attached image - when i use these in there work space in another or new drawing how ever the first Line type i use, so if i use 200mm then all the other tools of different sizes use the same line type at 200mm even if ive assigned it to 400mm in the tool properties?

I used the rectangle command (much simpler for Duct) applied layer and colour to properties for differ duct systems like exhaust, supply, outside air etc as no line types where made this works perfectly fine.

I just made  5 more line types that are for pipe and first i tried with text but dint show up so i decided to write the text in line and at 64 resolution it looked really bad, 128 resolution a bit better but 256 was perfection so i set them to that.. they are now behaving like the flex and the first tool i use sets the same properties for the other tools so my CHWFR line type will appear on as my DRAIN tool line type if i use it first but the tool keeps all the layer, colour line type properties of Drain

I'veflex tool properties.PNGflexible duct behaviour on new dwg.PNGflexible duct meant to look like.PNGpipe behaviour on new.PNGPipe meant to look like.PNGpipe tool properties.PNG attached several images to help clarify, the tool properties, the tools, the behaviour in original file, ther behaviour in new dwgs, your response will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

TJ
