Lenght of 3D polylines

Hello, I will use this for Civil 3D but an AutoCAD lisp may be the answer. I am looking for a routine that will me a cumulative length of all polylines responding to a certain criteria (layer, color, etc.). Any assistance would be appreciated.

@Lee_Mac  wrote one that will add lengths.  Up to you to create the selection set then you can run it.
