Join a line to an object (block)

Hi

i want to join a line to an object and when a move the object one point of line which was linked to the objectshould move with it and another point should be fix on the its position.

You can achieve this by using constraints... See my attachment...

[EDIT : Only problem is that this thing works only in 2D - not 3D - I don't know why as it should be working...]
