EQUSPACE.LSP no longer works with upgrade to newest AutoCAD version.

I've been using some version of an EQUSPACE.LSP since 1996, but my latest version won't work with newest version of AutoCAD. I find it simple to use and bullet proof as long as you try to choose a second object in the counter clockwise direction.

Is there a newer compatible version of this lisp out there or an easy way to do this with standard commands?

The program is encrypted, but here it is:

Sounds like you need to go back to the original author of EQUSPACE.LSP to get this resolved since it’s protected

That's a good idea - I started with a Google search, but could not find any hits. Perhaps different search terms?
I did find a lot of people looking for ways to equally space selections, but none referred to something like the simple way this program does it. Since it's something I do frequently, my assumption has to be that others do also - made me wonder if AutoCAD now has this function incorporated into the program and a lisp macro is no longer required. Array and Divide require too many steps comparatively.
This is what Equspace and its predecessors did (I used it so automatically and subconsciously that I don't remember what was involved, but I think this is it): Two objects are present. Start the function, then choose one then the other, then enter the number of objects desired in between. Done; Or, with two vectors present (they can be differing sizes and at different directions in the same plane), start the function, choose one then the other, and they are equally spaced according the the number you want.
The resulting lines can be kind of wonky if the two originals are at both differing lengths and directions. And if you choose in the clockwise order, they can be spaced way out of view radially depending on their relative vector directions, but it works either clockwise or counterclockwise.

For that, you may find SplitBetween.lsp >here< does what you want, and it even works if the two Lines/single-line-segment Polylines are not in the same plane.

Thanks Kent, your program does almost the same thing, sans the ability to equally space objects. The only other difference I can see is that it does not care about the clockwise vs. counter, and it draws lines incrementally larger or smaller between the two choices - Equspace choose the last line picked and repeated that same size.

I'll have to figure out how to switch the if/else points or existing so that it has the line choice as the first option. I do like the pick four points feature - it's not dependent having a segment available. Bravo!

An update to my original post: Yesterday, I used my old shortcut for Equaspace without thinking, and the program worked. Don't know why. When the problem first started, I had reloaded the lsp several times manually to no avail and it showed in the startup suite all along... I'd certainly restarted AutoCAD many times since my original post, and, it appears, one of those times it loaded and worked.

So, problem miraculously solved!

I'm curious whether anyone else tried running the script?

If you mean what you posted in Message 1, I don't think we can do anything with it in that format.  But if you're able to attach the file instead of paste in its contents, maybe....
