Drop Down on a Ribbon Panel

On a drop down on a ribbon, is it possible to have a drop down or several dropdowns within another drop down. In other words, click on the main drop down, then there are several choices of other drop downs to choose from.

I don't think you can created "nested" or multi-tiered drop-downs on the ribbon. I wasn't able to find an example of this in the default ribbons.

For example, I don't think that the "Paste as" tools could be combined into a single "Paste as..." drop-down on the ribbon that would expand to the 2 options.

Using the CUI, though, you could create this Shortcut menu scenario using sub-menus:

Q: do you have that now in any Ribbon dropdown by chance?

You could turn on MENUBAR in your AutoCAD, hide all the other menus you don't want to show in your WORKSPACE, then create a customize one of more pulldowns to get the effect you want. Here is an example from a core menu-bar that more closely resembles what you seek

I was asking in case you were trying to emulate something you use or have seen: the Ribbon does not have that functionality from a quick test here, but you are welcome to try testing at your end if you wish.

I see how to do this one now. It does not really get me what I am looking for.

Panels & sub-panels may get you close.

No, unfortunately, it's not possible. Not in CUI, not with a lisp.

BTW We can see that in C3D but it's done programmely so it's just a single item in the cui.

I just want to get rid of it entirely, it happens to me every single day when I use Autocad. The ribbon drowndowns obstructs my file tabs, being forced to wait 1 to 3 seconds every time when I accidentally go 1 pixel too high in the interface. It's unbearable and unprofessionally implemented
