Delay with VLIDE.DSK

Chaps,

When I open the VLIDE for the first time there is a 30 second delay between these two messages in the Trace window, even if there are no files to open.

Any idea how to make it open quicker?

I never experience that even with upgrading to 2022

Apparently you can delete the vlide.dsk and AutoCAD will recreate it. See if that helps.

Better yet. make a copy of the file first 🙂

Tried that.

With no VLIDE.DSK or DAP files in the directory, VLIDE opens immediately. Once the files are created it's back to the delay.

My first guess with these symptoms would be to check if you have a malware scanner checking those files every time.
