Customization

I have been using AutoCAD 2013 Mechanical for nearly 2 years. I created customized preferences and settings (a profile?) that defines my menu bar, toolbar layouts and possibly my file locations. All of this was saved in a *.arg file on our company network.

I did this almost 2 years ago and haven't modified anything since then. Today some changes were made to our company domain and now AutoCAD loads with default settings. I have forgotten how to get it to load my preferences and settings from the *.arg file.

I have tried several ways to get my settings back, but the on-line community help only shows how to load CUIX files, and the instructions show things that don't happen as described. Can anyone give me instructions how to restore my settings using the *.arg file? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Allan Lussier

Sounds like you have two distinct things to do.

Load your Profile, but also to create a Workspace.
