Custom CUI seems to unload on it's own

I'm having a issue with the Custom CUI that I have created. One some of our machines (all of them HP Z books) this Menu seems to unload by itself.  I myself have never had this happen.

When I look at what's loading into AutoCAD using the CUI interface The menu is still listed in the Partial Menu load section but the ribbons, tool bars and drop down menus are not appearing.  I find I either have to remove it and then reload it or I have to reimport  their profile for it to come back.  I have double checked all of the path statements and they are correctly pointed at the proper  folders on the network and all of the supporting lisp etc. is also loading correctly from the startup suite.

I'm wondering if there is some thing the users are doing that may be unloading it without realizing it.

Any Ideas would be helpful

Thanks

Perhaps command WSSAVE after exiting the CUI?

Hi Scot-65,

Yes I looked at that but once I set up each desktop I create a Workspace (CBRE) and save to it.  However I have disabled it to AutoSave on each exit so if the user changes something accidently that effects the menus it doesn't save it. Hummmmm  Let me have another look at that just to be sure it's set correctly.

One thing not clear to me; is this problem reappearing again, say the next day, if they startup AutoCAD or is it just once and after you've fixed it everything is and stays OK?

In other words, does the problem appear only when they start AutoCAD and import your prepared profile for the first time? And in that case the workspace does not not get correctly loaded?

Hi Dan,

It will properly load for a few days and then poof the CBRE ribbon, menus and toolbars are gone again.

Difficult to say what screws up your workspace without actually knowing what is loaded and executed, but if the (partial) menu is still loaded as you've stated, then you should get everything back by reloading your workspace again instead of unloading and reloading the menu.

Easiest way would be to enter WSCURRENT on the commandline and press enter twice.

Hi terry,

To use the new profile, did you change the acad icon startup string with  /p newprofile or removed the /p switch?

Did you remind the other users to only use the modified  icon?

I made different .mnu files for the different versions of autocad that access the same partial menu.  A compiled menu may appear corrupt to a different acad version and not load it.

Scott.
