Crosshairs aperture text prompt

When using for example -

(getpoint "Text prompt")

the custom text prompt hovers near the crosshairs aperture.

When using a combination of "ssget" and "princ" the text prompt only appears on the command line and you just get "Select Objects:" as the crosshairs aperture prompt.

Is there a way to get a custom crosshairs aperture text prompt with "ssget" or can someone suggest a workaround/method to achieve this?

If this "the custom text prompt hovers near the crosshairs aperture." refers to the Dynamic Input, it's not fixable (bug).

If it's the command line, you can use NOMUTT to turn the default "Select objects: " off/on. But generally, it's not recommended to do that, especially if you're not very experienced programmer. Once you leave that OFF, possibly by error in your program, you have blinded - you get no visual feedback from commands.

That's very annoying if it's not possible. I like having the descriptive text prompt by the crosshairs aperture because that's where your eyes are already looking, so you take in what the next process is for, without even really thinking about it. Having just "Select objects:" and having to look away to the command line to see a description of what you're selecting for is not ideal.
