Command Line last line not visible

Dear Forum users,

In recent versions of AutoCAD (i.e 2018+ in particular), the command line appears to be completely invisible and reluctant to show up even if I try and make it wide and bigger. I have a problem with my Lisp routines which print messages on the command line. If there is space for 3 lines on the command line, only the first 2 lines are visible and the last one is always hidden (see screen-shot). The message that I want to see is dispalyed under <Model><layout> tab labels. This is problematic because any input message prompt that is displayed there is not seen by the user. It was working perfectly fine until 2016/17 version and I am not sure if this some setting that is causing the command  line to become almost inaccessible. I would appreciate any help to resolve this problem.
