Combine attribute definitions into 1 line

So our current Section symbol looks like this

Capture.JPG

This is a block with 2 Attributes in it, one for the detail number and one for the sheet number. I'm trying to combine the 2 attributes into an "Inline" tag like this:

I want to keep them as attributes so that when I double click the block in my drawing, it prompts me to input the value of the 2 attributes. Any way to do this? I'm trying to keep it as one "object" so that the final text result can stay "Middle Center" justified so that my arrow and section line rotates around it nicely.

I do that with station labels on my profile grid so the "+" is always centered on the grid line.

Middle-Right justify the attribute on the left and Middle-Left Justify the attribute on the right.  Put the "/" in as static text between the two unless you want it blanked out at some instances.  If so then make it a third attribute.

I presume you have drawings already inundated with the two-attribute block, right?  My guess is that you have to redefine the block and then use ATTSYNCH, which I have heard about but never used 'cause I'm still on 2002.

Ya know, if there aren't that many, you can rename the old block to say "OLD", make a new block, and replace the old with the new yourself (or assign it to someone else).  We had a guy at HMM who really couldn't do what they hired him for, but you could give him explicit instructions and voila... done.
