Can you edit a blank attribute with out opening attribute editor

I have multiple blocks that when someone put them in the drawing they cleared out the text in an attribute so it is now blank as shown in the first picture. The second shows what it should be as I have input the tag in the attribute. Is there a way to edit multiple attributes that are not visible like the first picture with out having to open the attribute editor window on each block? 

 currently look like this         should look like thisis there a way to not open this on every block to add this in?

Select all the blocks with the blank attribute and you should be able to type a value for all of them at the same time in the attribute value in the properties palette.

You can edit any attribute without opening the block, whether that is in the block definition (constant attribute) or in a block reference (variable attributes). You can also make individual attribute visible or invisible on a per block reference status or globally.

Thanks, Honestly don't know why I didn't think about doing that. I have doNe that for other things in the past. I guess just an ID10T error.  Thank you.

To many of us jump into code with out just thinking of something simple, qselect or filter comes to mind to pick correct block.
