batch change title block

Hello,

There are lots of drawing title blocks that need to be changed.  One of them is the previous attribute is blank for some DWGs title blocks. The value needs to be added. Another one is revision, like 2A, 3A, 5A, and 10A. They need to be changed to 2B, 3B, 5B, and 10B. Could you please provide some advice? Thank you very much in advance. Michael

Hi Mr. Moshe, it did not work on my AutoCAD. I may make some mistakes. Could you please tell me a little more details about "don't forget to change the REV_# & R_NO_D&E attributes from 1B to 1A"?  I am wondering if you can make a video for me, thank you very much in advance.

Here is another update for you to test.

make sure you select the right blocks name (the ones you specified)

the revision attribute must be have the right value (e.g 1A, 2A, 3A) in order to be change to 1B, 2B, 3B...

first, make this as your solution 😀

second i'm not complete with the solution of the REV_#,R_NO_D&E attributes. you say you have hundred of dwg's that they revision is 1A, 2A... and all you want is to change them to 1B, 2B? why not leave them 1A?

what A means what B means?

sure, I will definitely make this as my solution. 1A, 2A, are the current DWGs revision, each DWG is unique. 1B, 2B are the new DWGs revision. Could you please make some changes to the latest revision? I need to two more versions to meet the different project requirements if it is possible. 1. only change date and revision number, 1A, 2A to 1B, 2B.  may need to delete some parts from the original lisp.  2. change 1A, 2A to 1, 2.     Last question, if leave revision as is, do not change this part. Will it make difference. In some projects, these parts do not need to be changed, thanks a lot!

the above is not clear at all, you need to post sample dwg with before and after state for each block.

about running the lisp automatically on many files you need to create a script file to be run outside autocad

here is a link how to create that. study it

Attached the lisp prepare for run in script, now it does not pause for select object(s) but auto select the 2 blocks in whole drawing (e.g in model space and all layouts)

you mean only 1A,2A but not 3A,4A....10A?

what's the problem with date? i design it as you asked

You already study the link? wow you are fast learning. the AcCoreConsole.exe can run scripts open drawings not in graphics screen (on text window) but there is a small problem  😀  as far as i heard here, it is not capable of running aset.lsp.

sorry I did not say my question clearly. The title blocks and revision number (1A, 2A) need to be changed. For title blocks part, in the beginning, lots of item need to be changed.
