autonumber blocks using a polyline for the sequence

I have a lisp routine that I inherited from a previous company I contracted for.

When I appload it on another laptop (that was not issued by the same previous company) it doesn't work.

would anyone be able to have a look at it, and see if what ever is dependent on the previous companies systems could be modified to work on any CAD machine?

much appreciated.

We're not going to be able to help you -- those are .VLX files, which are a compiled format, and not editable.  See [just one example of many if you put "open VLX file" into the Search window] this thread.  You'll need to contact whoever has the source files from which those were compiled.

As @Kent1Cooper pointed out, you are looking at compiled software with security built in by the author to prevent it from working outside of a specific environment.  It's called protection of intellectual property.  I do the same for my swimming pool liner client.  One of his former employees took copies of my programs to work for a competitor.  He actually had the nerve to call me and ask how to activate them.  No, no.  The code is probably owned by your former employer, so you would have to ask and pay for it, if they were willing.  It cannot be reengineered, to my knowledge.

There is a possibly similar utility for autonumbering blocks "by polyline" (by fence) - InsertC and its command BLOCKC. See www.cadstudio.cz/freeware
