The last time I gave someone a large and detailed description on how to download all of the pages together, a discussion admin came in and removed my post that I spent atleast 5min typing. I believe Autodesk doesn't want anyone downloading them. Takes less than 2min, but apparently it's frowned upon by Autodesk.

What? Why? That makes no sense.

@rkmcswain I have no idea. Tried it twice, first time a discussion admin removed it, then I asked why, using a similar answer. Then a moderator removed my similar answer post questioning why.

@rkmcswain And Autodesk really likes when you bring up the forum ranking system. Watch this post get removed.

I Have to agree @rkmcswain.

@wispoxy Are you sure you are not confusing the subject with something else that was for subscriptions only?. That would have been edited.

As we do not delete anything but move them to a special location I made search for your "posts" and came up blank on the subject.

Can you help refresh my memory.

And on trying figuring out the ranking system well that's a no brainer right.Smiley Happy

Hello @Tony_Gibbs,

After speaking with the ADN team I can confirm that both the AutoCAD 2015 Reference and Developers Guides are not available for download. I can confirm that the team is looking into expanding accessibility next year which obviously doesn't help now.

That being said and to help the team identify improvement opportunities for next year, was there a particular reason that you wanted to download the full docs? Possibly a navigation issue and/or inability to be online?

Hi Philip

Thanks for getting back to me. the reason I want the entire documentation is because it is too slow and cumbersome for me to try to use the reference material on line, and aslo i study away from the cumputer from time to time.

Regards Tony

So you already have the Help installed locally ??

You can make a shortcut on your desktop and point it to something like :

file:///C:/Program%20Files/Autodesk/AutoCAD%202016%20Help/English/Help/index.html#!/url=./files/homepage_dev.htm

@Discussion_Admin I don't know if it was a subscription, I wasn't told, maybe it was. Not too concerned right now because I can't really prove I'm not at fault. I wish there was a notice like 'not for sharing'. How do I know if a PDF guide is for subscriptions only?

If you don't just delete posts, can I just share the: .message-id

for any future problems that may arise with posts?

and if a post is completely removed, is it ok if we flush our local cache and re-cert it to obtain the .message-id (or is it considered inappropriate behaviour)? Will Autodesk be able to connect ids even if the post is completely removed?

@kerry_w_brown Well done solving the problem.

@Tony_Gibbs Glad to see your problem was resolved.
