We are using both AutoCAD 2015 and 2012 in our office. All of the users with AutoCAD 2015 have set up their machines to save as version 2012 thru the options dialog box under the Open and Save tab.
Our problem is all of the xref's in an AutoCAD 2015 drawings which is being saved as 2012, including the individual files that are xref'd, somehow revert back to version 2015, which prevents a 2012 user to see the xref's. (Error message in the XREF dialog box states: Incompatible version
We can correct the issue by going into all of the files used as xref's, save them individually as 2012, reload them into the master drawing, also saved as 2012, and then reopen in 2012. Yet a few days later, the xref's have reverted back to 2015.
Just curious if anyone else has run into this problem.
