Area calculation

Hello,

Do any of you have an idea, what is the math behind the area calculation in AutoCAD? I am mostly asking about the irregular shapes: pline with mixed line/arc segments or closed spline.

Can't tell about the math, but remember that this was a serious bug for long time being unresolved. HERE
