Vehicle Tracking 2018 Different Versions causing drawing issues

We have 13 workstations with standalone installs on each at our office.  One user updated VT to the latest version, while all other users were one version behind.  As soon as any user, other than the user that did the update, opened and saved any drawing the first user had worked in, ALL users, even the first user with the latest update, get the message "This drawing was created with a newer version of Civil 3D".  We are not able to access and edit these drawings and have had to resort to restoring backups and redoing any work that was lost.  None of these drawing have any VT entities in them.  The only difference is the versions of VT on each individual workstation.  This problem has been duplicated to verify that VT is the issue.  What is the fix and why on earth is it causing issues in the first place?  Any ideas?

I would look in the about section of each workstation and first identify the computer that has the update installed on it.  If using 2018 and the update isn't 2018.2, then I would again upgrade the machine to the latest version of Vehicle Tracking 2018.2. I would then do it to the rest of the machines.  This also holds true for the base product you are using to power VT.  Enhancements and bug fixes come out in these SP's and if you are not updating all your systems on a regular basis then you are leaving yourself open to more errors in DWG files and commands not working as they were intended to.  Coding can be very tricky and even the best of the best slip up from time to time, but that is what the SP process is intended for.  Good Luck!
