I was having the same issue today. Fiddled around with it for about an hour with no luck. Then I tried signing out of autodesk (within Autodesk Map 3d in my case) and then signing back in . It worked!

Hi,

Try to log out of your autodesk account in AutoCAD using the "Sign Out and Quit" option in the upper right corner of the program interface. The program will close, restart it, log back into your account and try to enable Vehicle Tracking. I don't know why but it worked for me.

I am troubleshooting the same issue and here are my findings. I'm using 2024 AEC licenses which include Civil3d, Raster Design, & Vehicle Tracker.

My scenarios…

It seems that if you have success in loading Vehicle Tracker in a session, It will load in any drawings during that session.

  1. Start Civil3d with the default Imperial profile
  2. Open Intro-1 Tutorial dwg as read only
  3. Start Vehicle Tracker settings. It works. Cancel out of that and open a new drawing using any template and it’ll work in that drawing too. Or you can open any drawing. It doesn’t matter if it’s a new drawing or an old drawing and it’ll work.

If you start a new drawing from startup and start Vehicle Tracker settings,

  1. Start Civil3d with the default Imperial profile
  2. New drawing using _Autodesk Civil 3D (Imperial) NCS.dwt
  3. Start Vehicle Tracker settings. It fails

If you start a new drawing from startup and start Raster Design insert first. (This seems to work with any profile and template file)

  1. Start Civil3d with the default Imperial profile
  2. New drawing using _Autodesk Civil 3D (Imperial) NCS.dwt
  3. Start Raster Design – Insert, then cancel.
  4. Start Vehicle Tracker settings. It works…

Just tried this fix from Autodesk and it seems to have fixed the issue...

Close all Autodesk application and even Autodesk Access from system tray -

1- I would recommend for you to try and delete Licensing service from C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\AdskLicensing and right click on uninstall.exe and run as admin

2- Go to programs and features and uninstall Autodesk single sign on component

3- Go to %localappdata%\Autodesk\Web Services and delete log instate.xml in it

4- Then install and run -
https://damassets.autodesk.net/content/dam/autodesk/external-assets/support-articles/autodesk-licens...

5- Also install and run -
https://download.autodesk.com/us/support/files/autocad/adsso/adsso_2023_7_64-bit-update_installer.zi...

I'm having the same issue. Reinstalled everything and same thing. Only thing that works is sign out and back in and it only works until I reboot. Anything Autodesk?

So I have had success in my installs when I use this procedure:

1. Close AutoDesk Access app in Task Bar
2. Uninstall all AutoDesk products using Windows settings.
3. Restart Computer
4. Open Regedit
* Search and remove all AutoDesk Keys and Values
* Search and remove all AutoCad Keys and Values
5. Restart Computer
6. Delete all folders related to AutoDesk/AutoCAD in C:\Programs, C:\Programs(x86), C:\ProgramData & Common folders in those Folders.
7. Restart Computer
8. Install C3D-2024, Open product, import profile in Options, Add Custom menus. Close C3D-2024
9. Add C3D-2024_Etransmit.reg (Custom Etransmit settings)
10. Shutdown Computer completely to clear any lingering licensing apps.
11. Startup Computer
12. Install Raster Design, Vehicle Tracking, and ADSSO.msi
13. Open C3D-2024 new drawing and start Vehicle Tracking – Settings.
* You should get sign on window even though Civil3D is signed in.
* If not you will get a failure

i. Uninstall ADSSO from Apps – Installed Apps

ii. Shutdown Computer completely to clear any lingering licensing apps.

iii. Rerun ADSSO.msi

1. Retest Vehicle Tracking – Settings
2. Open AutoDesk Access app in Task Bar and run Updates.

I contacted Autodesk support and they quickly sent me a link to an updated ADSSO.msi and it solved my problem. Give support a shout if you're still having an issue.

What version of the ADSSO.msi have you received from Autodesk? Is it newer than the publicly available version here (2023.7)? https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/tsarticles/ts/A785RG35hP8oUR96WrYkn.html

I am waiting to hear back from Autodesk on this issue. Thanks!

I don't see Autodesk Single Sign on Component, and I therefore can't uninstall it.  Is this a necessary step?
