I just downloaded Delphi 2007 to try DelphiDotNet personality to develop my
application but the triall version didn't work(I have the .NET framework
installed) and after reinstalling the triall license has expired. As an
experienced Delphi developer of COM apps for AutoCAD should I upgrade from
Delphi7 to this version? Can Delphi2007 be used to develop AutoCAD
applications under the .NET framework? (I'm just about to hit Proceed to

Hi Joe,

There is a specific .NET NG. A regular poster there, Tony Zanzillo seems to
be an expert in this field. If you don't get an answer here it may be worth
posting there.

If Delphi can generate managed assemblies then there
should be no reason why you can't use it to develop
managed AutoCAD apps with it. In fact, it may be a
better alternative given the massive problems Visual
Studio has with projects that reference the AutoCAD
managed assemblies (the Windows Forms designer
fails to create forms and usercontrols).

However as far as Delphi2007 goes, I have no opinion
as I've stopped upgrading.

Laurie - It's good to see that your spelling is better
than your coding skills.
