Since there are ditinct differences in VBA as well as AutoLISP between
releases, it would be beneficial for everyone if we started identifying the
release of AutoCAD we are attempting to customize. Also, please distinguish
between VB5/VB6/VBA as well as LISP/VisualLISP. I've seen a lot of good
advice go down the tubes because replies were given for the wrong version
and/or language. Let's make it a little easier to help one another.

Hi Frank,

This should be more than a suggestion. It should be mandatory.

To make it easy create a signature with the data in it and add the signature
to your mail. I keep numerous signatures in Outlook Express and just call
the appropriate one.
See [Tools][Options] and look under the Signatures tab in v5. Under the
'Advanced' Option you can even make that signature the default one to go to
the newsgroup.

The sample signature I just created follows.

Autodesk Product: LDT v2
VB Product VBA

That's a good idea. In fact, I'm going to create my signatures right away.
Thanks for the tip!

Wow, Frank;
You mean there's something you DIDN'T already know?
I've only been perusing this NG for a few months, but you've replied to
several of my questions, and I certainly appreciate it, as I'm sure a lot of
other people do. You are one of the "Gods" of this NG. Thanks.

Stop it. I'm just sharing what others in these groups once shared with me.

Frank,

By reading this response, I can see who has the ego (I don't want to name
names but his initials are T.T). I read your string with him in the
customization NG and found it humorous to say the least. Some people don't
know when to say when.

Thank you for all your help in this NG. Keep up the good work.

Mark Smith

Again, stop it. I have an ego alright. It's just not as large and
self-serving as others.

Wow.
I just read the thread in the customization NG, and I'm even more glad that
I first complimented Frank.

You guys are embarassing me. Thank you but please knock it off. I'm just
here to learn what I can. If what others taught me can help someone else,
it's my obligation to share. That's all and nothing else. Believe you me,
I'll be charging for the first bit of original, saleable programming I can
come up with.
