Whilst able to run the VB Enabler for 2010 & 2011 on a PC that has "vanilla" AutoCAD 2010/11 - it would appear that ALL versions of the installer do NOT recognise the existance of vertical products. I have attempted to install the appropriate version of the enabler on various PC's that only have a "vertical product" such as Civil 3D or AutoCAD Architecture in place. On every occasion the splash screen with the message about the existance of an AutoCAD product being required is displayed and the install just hangs at that point. I have attempted such installs on XP 32 bit systems & Win7 64 Bit systems - taking care to ensure that the correct version of the enabler is being used - the result is always the same irritating message and a no go..!
The only possible variable that I have not explained is that the attmepts have been made on PC's where the vertical product is a Networked Licenced install as opposed to a Stand Alone install.
Pity the install routine does not offer a "browse" button so that a manual pointer to ACAD.exe could be used to kickstart the install and to get past that annoying message.
