Exception when open VBE with add-in in Autocad 2019

Hello All, 

An exception occurs when add-in try to create a custom CommandBar. Add-in has a reference to Office.dll.

When I used this add-in program AutoCAD 2013, everything worked fine.

Do you mean "using the DVB" is not working or "loading the DVB" crashes?

When you say it has references to Office ... do you have the same MS-Office version installed as you had with AutoCAD 2013? Also is Office the same type as AutoCAD, 32bit or 64bit?

In general, that "AdWindows.dll" is not found would result in also AutoCAD itself would not start. So it's more an issue of "AdWindows.dll could not be loaded" ... but that message would not appear in VBA, that sounds more like VB.NET (or and .NET language) written app.

Some questions are open I guess... 😉

No, it's add-in for Microsoft VBA Editor created with VB.Net (HOWTO: Create an add-in for the VBA editor (32-bit or 64-bit) of Office with Visual Studio .NET.)

In both cases, AutoCAD 64bit, Office 32bit

AutoCAD "disappears" if I try to open VBA editor when “Load on Startup” for my add-in is true.

If I turn off the “Load on Startup” (through the registry) then VBA editor opens normally and I can run my add-in by using Add-In manager.

In this case, no errors occur and AutoCAD does not "disappear".

OK, in that case the most important difference is:

• VBA for AutoCAD 2013 is based on 32bit (even if AutoCAD works 64bit) and based on VBA 6.x
• VBA for AutoCAD 2019 is based on 64bit and based on VBA 7.1

I have not yet developed extensions for VBAIDE so the above mentioned items are just a guess as I would look first into these differences
