Custom Property editor?

Does anyone feel like sharing a custom property editor? My skills in that
department are quite rusty.

I'm looking for something that will look to see if a property exists, create
it if not, fill in text boxes with existing info, then write back changes to
the custom properties. Standard stuff I suspect.
