Sure, just get a filtered selection set of all the valve blocks, iterate the
SS getting the attributes of each one and set the layer of the appropriate
attribute, go on to the next.
Also, change the layer of the Attribute in the block definition so future
insertions will be correct.

Greetings folks...I have thousands of valve blocks with attributes in a
drawing (AutoCAD 2007). I need to change the layer of the attribute text
without affecting the layer of the symbol geometry; they were both defined
on layer 0. To complicate things, the attribute text has been previously
moved and sometimes rotated (manually). When I use BATTMAN to change the
attribute layer I lose the manually edited attribute text locations, the
attribute text defaults back to beside the valve symbol.
Any ideas how I could change the layer of the attribute text without
changing the text location or rotation?
