Alternative Font file

Hi All,

I have a program which opens 100's of dwg files, and does something and saves to different name

I got below problems:

> Asking "Select Shape File" (*.shx) when I opening dwg's from the VBA program.

> I assigned alternate font in options, still asking for font file !! why ?

> In these 100's of drawings have 100's of customised font files used (in the past, somebody !), I don't know what name they are, and I don't care, but just assing alternative font so that it doesn't stop for asking for font file.

> In the alternative font file I tried couple of font names like "romans" "Simplex" "IFIS" (my customised font) etc..but still

same problems.

COULD anyone assist me in overcoming this problem ? I searched the forum here, solutions doesn't suite my probs

hello. for that i purge the draw. so you need to find what is use this shx file.

the dim use it.

the char use it.

so you have to find in the format of this .  and you have to change the format. after that purge your dwg.

(Sr bad in english.)

naaa...that solution wont work mate

Autocad asks font file before opening new file...how can you purge without opening it ?? and I want to do it automatically...
