Vault Professional Handbook or Manual to be provided

Vault Professional Handbook or Manual to be provided

As the header already describes, a good handbook or manual regarding working with Vault Professional is missing.

The following should be explained and documented a little more:

  • Global settings and explanations.
  • Local settings and explanations.
  • Categories settings and explanations.
  • Rules settings and explanations.
  • Lifecycles.
  • Poperties settings and explanations.
  • jobserver settings and explanations.
  • Best practices.
  • Working with Vault.
  • and many, many more

Thank you for posting the idea. We work with partners to creating these types of materials. You can see some of this material at https://www.ascented.com/.

Hi,

These are vault trainings, if I am correct!

Looks in basics good, for train people working with vault pro.

But I am willing to have a handbook or manual, regarding the settings in vault etc., as  described above.

Hi bradeneurope

Please take notice that Vault  customization/setting is client related and settings can (most of times) vary. I do not think Autodesk will take this task of making a manual. More the setting stage is made by Autodesk partners and rarely free of charge.

You could always find info, if needed, on the Vault forum also reading inside the Autodesk University.

Hi,

I don't agree.
The basics settings and how features are to be used should be explained.

I agree with the idea that there are custom changes for each client. But the guidelines are always the same. Except from programming of course.

Hi,

Any progress regarding this?

Our online help is intended to be that manual.

Hi,

Hi thank you for your answer.

But that answer sounds to easy for me!

Where do I find for example "Best Practices" for working with Vault, Inventor, Autocad, office etc.?

Hi,

Thank you again for those links.

But why needs a Autodesk customer, to search for this?

Or why is the answer given by users and isn't this provided directly like other software, or by Autodesk directly?

But don't get me wrong I appreciate your help on this.

Hi,

Could this topic be activated again, and move it form archived?

Sorry, but we have no plans on creating anything other than what we already provide in the online help.
