Did you mean:

Project properties pushed to the project file.

Project properties pushed to the project file.

It would be good if the project properties were pushed to the file when the file is added to the project folder.

Currently:

Create project, enter property (project number).

Then, for each file, the project number must be added manually. Individually or by batch change.

Desired:

Create project, enter property (project number).

Vault adds the project number property to all files in this project.

Hello

It would be good if you could map the property of the destination folder directly in the Copy design Rules.

Currently we create a project folder with the project properties.
When I copy a design into the new folder, I always have to update the properties of the project folder (e.g. project number) in the file via Update properties after the copy process.

This is a repetitive job that Vault Professional should be able to take care of.

When I create a new part later in the design and save it in the project folder, the VDS fills in the part properties from the project folder.

I second this idea.

My team and I are integrating Vault Professional 2024 and have noticed the potential benefits of having 'global properties' associated with folder structures. This would streamline workflows by automatically applying standardized properties like project numbers, titles, and border styles to all files within a folder. Feedback I've received from other Vault users suggests this adaptation could be valuable across multiple industries.
