When we create new read/write library (working as Content Center) we use only CAD tools.
Adding new parts to company standards should be managed (request, work, review, approve). This kind of functions are in Vault for files, Items and Change Orders. There should be also some tool to approve new row in company standard libraries.
I think it could base on Item Master.
Maybe some magic button “Publish Item to library” creating new row in library based on parameters from Item (including most important – company stock number).
On the end of the day we have Item linked not only to file but also to row in Content Center.
