Lifecycle: Property set/trigger for State-Change -set a property at state change

Hallo Vault Team,

in connection with Autodesk Vault lifecycles and state changes it would be helpful to have a possibility to set triggers or for example property-sets!

In Vault there is already a possibility to set criterias at a state transition - for example "it ist not allowed that the property with the name "title" is empty".

In other words: The functions in the"Actions" tab should be advanced

Criteria/Kriterien tab:

The first possibility would be to integrate a possiblity to set properties here.

Property set/trigger in a new tab:

Here in this tab it would be heplful to habe the same possibilities to set or a similar view like in the "criteria" tab.

Example 1:

In an example at the change-state-change from "approval" to "released" I want to define hat the property "Approval-state" should get a fixed value "approved" or the property "approved" should get the value "Yes (Boolean)".

This may be blasphemy, but Solidworks PDM Professional has had this ability, and several others, for quite some time. There, a simple approval click does it all automatically: change states, bump revisions, set properties, map approval signatures based upon the approvers user login. Very quick and very easy to configure to just about anything imaginable.

I think my examples are not the best ones, but I think there are several other use cases for such a feature.

Also a Event Cather at some tasks would be nice!

This is defiantly a feature I would like to see, however this has been a requested feature since 2012 minimum, So I'm not holding my breath.

To get this sorted for my company I had to learn how to code, and write my own extension. Your free to use it (link below), changing the properties you see fit. I am contemplating putting a UI to this, and make it available for others via the app exchange.
