Install Thin Client on AVFS Server

Install Thin Client on AVFS Server

Currently the thin client install can only be performed on a ADMS server. We have several AVFS sites for quick access to files but if we have a someone using the thin client, they have to connect to the ADMS server instead of the local AVFS server which is very slow if it is far away. If we could install the Thin Client on the local AVFS server and have the thin client user connect to it, this would increase performance and usability of the thin client. At our AVFS sites, the Thin Client is currently unusable due to this slowness.

We have exact the same situation at Parker. Being able to connect to a AVFS will push the implementation of Thin Client. We also experience low performance when connecting to the ADMS (which we have one in Europe)

This is a key enhancement needed for multi-site environments.  Effectively Thin Client is not usable without being able to access files from the local file store on the AVFS server.

Also required in IMI, we put AVFS servers in locations where network performance is slow or has the potential for disruptionm it makes no sense to push users to an ADMS server hosted in another location as thios reduces the benefits of installing the local AVFS
