Initial value for Properties based on category

In Vault some settings for properties can be done globally (left) AND based on category (right). But the one that I really want on the right side the  is "Initial Value".

Then I can give the property a different initial value depending on Category.

It would be useful to set on a per category basis, the initial value for properties which enforce a list.

Thank you for posting the idea. However, you can already do this for a property based on the Category and a predefined list and enforcement.

Maybe my request was not so clear. We would like a property that enforces a list. (Such as below) When a file is added into a particular category, the category pre-fills out an initial value for that list. So add a per category override to the initial value constraint. Which I'm not sure is possible.

Vault 2023 --> and the future versions
It would be nice if you could set a default value per category.

In this way the user would not have to do any additional work and fill in the property.
