When using dark theme in vault, the text color for checked out files is dark blue on a dark background. These colors contrast poorly resulting in text that is very hard to read (and sometimes impossible on monitors with poor colors).
Text is barely legible when file is checked out and dark theme is enabled:
There is a work around to fix this however it requires users to go into the program files, edit a config file, and change a string containing an 8-digit hex code corresponding to the desired color. The larger barrier, however, is that this requires local admin privileges meaning a large percentage of users will effectively be unable to use dark theme (or will have to deal with some text not being legible).
Text color after editing config file (color value #FF32CD32):
I know many users have wanted Vault dark theme for a while and I'm very appreciated of the effort Autodesk took to implement it. However, with such poor legibility I fear that it is simply unusable for many users. Meaning all the effort spent to add dark mode is wasted for such a minor detail!
The best solution would be to allow users to choose the text color via a setting within the Vault Client. However, at a minimum, making the default color contrast with the background better will at least make dark theme useable.
