Some more detail:

An advanced seach in Vault will return all entities matching a condition.

Sometimes, if you want to see unique values only, a DISTINCT search is needed. 

Also, if you would like to know how many times the distinct value is used a COUNT would be needed.

We have a material property mapped into the Vault. The following search result would be handy:
