Enforce Comment on Check-In *Without using Data Standards*

Hi All,

As you know when checking a file into Vault using Vault Basic, Workgroup or Professional the Check-In box appears.

I think it would be great for the option to enforce a comment before allowing the Check-In. Without needing to use Vault Data Standards and in all flavours of Vault.

So I see it looking something like this... (Image 1)

Which when ticked, results in the Check-In dialog box 'OK' button being greyed out until something has been written in the comments section like this... (Image 2)

Please like and share this idea to anyone you think would benefit from this idea.

Thank you.

This would be a great function, because having to remind people to do it has become tedious.

For me personally it would not be beneficial to force the comment on every single document. Maybe it would be helpful to have this option in the lifecycle management. This way people could be forced to write a comment when a document with a certain status is checked in.
